Au terme de ce parcours, l’article décrit les caractéristiques de ce que pourrait être un imaginaire transculturel de la « pastorale ». The pastoral mode is studied in the European and Chinese traditions according to two complementary comparative approaches : the comparatism of mediation or contact, which focuses on describing and analysing the phenomena of reception of texts (translations and transfers), then the comparatism of analogy, which frees itself from factual relationships to envisage either a “comparatism of difference” (Jullien), or the approach consisting in “constructing comparables” (Detienne), starting from a work of contextualisation.
