L’analyse de cette réécriture de l’enlèvement d’Hélène a été effectuée en appliquant les catégories rhétoriques concernant les status causae en même temps que la littérature juridique sur le raptus. Ces mêmes catégories ont été appliquées dans l’Appendice à la réinterprétation de la légende dans le Discours Troyen de Dion Chrysostome : contre la version traditionnelle d’origine homérique, l’orateur grec montre qu’Hélène n’a jamais été enlevée par Pâris. In his reinterpretation of the Trojan myth, adopting an innovative and original methodology, the author of De excidio Troiae aims to emphasize that, in contrast to the classical culture inferred from the Homeric tradition, Elena has never been abducted by Paris. In this paper the analysis – focused on the rewriting of the Homeric tradition – was carried out using the categories of the rhetorical art related to the status causae and the legal literature on the raptus.
