Para ello, procura explicar la manera en que está construido un mundo sexuado y las posibilidades y limitaciones para romper su lugar tradicional de género. La fuente primaria de información está constituida por entrevistas realizadas a hombres y mujeres afrocaribeños, las cuales se analizan a partir del enfoque biográfico. Se concluye que la configuración del género contribuye a configurar una división sexual del trabajo con rigideces, pero también con posibilidades para transgredir el lugar de género.  This article explores the notions of the sexual division of labor among Afro-descendant people in the Costa Rican Caribbean region during the first half of the twentieth century.  To this end, it aims to explain how a sexed world is created and the possibilities and limitations of breaking its traditional gendered place.
